The national environmental advocacy group Food & Water Action has endorsed Staci Berger in the Democratic mayoral race in Piscataway. 

Berger is a longtime community activist with deep ties to progressive organizations across New jersey. 

Food & Water Action is the political and lobbying arm of Food & Water Watch, which has been active in climate and community organizing projects across the state. 

Food & Water Action organizer Charlie Kratovil released the following statement: 

“Staci Berger is a passionate and committed champion for social and environmental justice. She has worked closely with climate and community activists and wants to protect Piscataway from the worsening air pollution and truck traffic linked to the warehouses being built in town. Staci Berger is committed to protecting clean air and a healthy environment for all Piscataway residents.”
